IV Buy Local Campaign Launch

Dear Members,

Thank you for choosing to support our newly created IV Buy Local campaign launched on June 13, 2011. Myself and others have had a busy couple of weeks recruiting other businesses to join our effort. I'm pleased to report that we now have 66 local, independent, businesses that support us. Thank you everybody for your work so far in making this happen.

I plan to send out one e-mail every Friday to update you on our ongoing success. Currently our goal is to recruit over 500 businesses to support us within three months time and we are well on our way to achieving that goal. As we develop this campaign we will be providing everybody with more tools and ideas on how to have your business achieve maximum value from it. After all, that is our #1 objective for all members - revenue enhancement for your local, independent, business.

In order to support the quick growth of our membership I would ask you to take the following steps:

1) Refer other local, independent businesses to join us. The more members we have, the more influential our campaign will be. Please see attached flyer for membership information. I'd be glad to print these out for you in color at no charge at Office Supply Co. In order for a business to qualify as member (remember membership is currently free), please just send me paul@oscofficesolutions.comthe name of the business, the contact person, and their e-mail address so we can add them to our list of members. That's all I need!

2) We purchased a domain name at www.buylocalimperialvalley.org The site should be up within the next week and will list all of our members.

3) If you are a Facebook user, "like" our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/imperialvalley We have well over 5,000 local Imperial Valley residents on this page and we would like to grow this number within the next 12 months to over 10,000. Almost every day I will be highlighting a member business to our Facebook community. Each post currently renders approximately 5,000 impressions. If you consider that a typical ad online costs about a penny per impression, this amounts to an approximately a $50 value per post being supplied at no charge to our members.
